IMMEDIATE NEED for a Site Construction QC Inspector power plant construction project in Cohasset, MN. You need 15
years of mechanical construction QC experience supporting power plant EPC projects with a focus on inspecting mechanical, piping, steel & ducting systems. You need at least 5 years of experience on coal fired power plants, preferably FGD and AQCS projects. This is a long term contract assignment that could go longer for the right person. Client will provide, mob, demob, per diem and a paid trip home every 3 weeks.
Responsibilities for the Inspector
Help oversee the QA/QC program and ensure that all subcontractors on this power plant project are meeting project & industry quality specifications
Perform QC Inspections on work performed by the Subcontractors and specifically on the mechanical, piping, steel & ductwork systems
Assist in ensuring the project is constructed, tested, inspected, and documented in accordance with the project specifications
Interface with client representatives, A/E representatives, & other contractors on a daily basis
Other responsibilities include coordinating, administrating, and/or performing inspection activities, document control, and writing reports
Requirements for the Inspector
15
years of mechanical construction field experience as a Site QC Inspector or Supervisor working on power plant EPC projects
5
years QC experience on AQCS, FGD or similar coal fired power plant EPC projects is needed
Any experience with steel and duct work on SCR's and/or scrubber projects on coal fire power plants is preferred
Experience building System Turn-Over Packages and performing system walk downs for completion
You need to be well versed in inspecting Mechanical, Piping, & Structural areas
